Dr Paul Joblin
MBChB, MPH, MMed (Skin Cancer)
Dr Paul Joblin is the Medical Director at the Skin Cancer Clinic.
He has a Masters degree in skin cancer medicine, is a full member of the New Zealand Skin Cancer Doctors Society, and works full time in the skin cancer field.
Dr Joblin graduated from the Auckland University School of Medicine and subsequently moved to Sydney, Australia where he practised medicine for over thirteen years. He completed a Masters degree in Public Health at the University of Sydney, and moved for a period of time into general practice before deciding that the skin cancer field held his interest. He completed a certificate course in dermatology from Monash University, and has subsequently graduated with a Masters degree in Primary Care Skin Cancer Medicine from the University of Queensland. He has obtained international Masterclass certification in dermoscopy.
After working full time in the skin cancer field in Sydney, Dr Joblin returned to New Zealand in 2005 for family reasons. He recognised a need for skin cancer practitioners in New Zealand, and set up Auckland’s first dedicated primary care Skin Cancer Clinic in August 2005.
The success of the Skin Cancer Clinic is a reflection of both the need for such a service, and also the high regard for the clinic that is held within the community.
